👤 User Identity

  • Logged-in user shown in top-right menu
  • URL reflects selected user or list token, and item — updates dynamically when browsing or sharing
  • User avatars displayed next to usernames in user lists and chat messages for better visual identification.

🛡️ Account Security & Validation

  • Strong password requirements (A–Z, a–z, 0–9, minimum 6 chars)
  • Email confirmation required before login
  • Disposable email domains blocked during registration
  • Display name validation with anti-spam filters (no gibberish, reserved words, excessive repetition)
  • Client-side and server-side input validation for consistency

🔐 Privacy Controls

  • Each list has a privacy level that controls who can access it:
  •  🌐 Public – open and searchable by anyone
  •  🔒 Private – visible only to you and invited list-chat members
  •  🕵️ Secret – hidden from search, but shareable via private link
  • Privacy affects list visibility, chat access, and who can view or join
  • You can change a list’s privacy setting anytime from the list menu
  • Only owners or admins can invite others or adjust privacy
  • All chats are end-to-end encrypted. Only users with list-chat access can read them.

  • Create, rename, reorder, and delete lists
  • Arrange lists and items in a tree, including nested sublists
  • Keep pieces in rehearsal or performance order, or browse alphabetically
  • Add/remove items from lists (yours or others')

📤 Import Files & Content

  • Files are accessed securely through TextWhisper, with permission checks for viewing, importing, exporting and deleting.
  • Add material by drag-and-drop, selecting files from your device, using connected cloud sources, or pasting supported links
  • Drop supported files onto sidebar lists or items to add material where you need it
  • Drop PDF, MusicXML (.xml, .musicxml, .mxl), audio, or MIDI files into the score area to attach them to the selected item
  • Drop a .txt or .docx file on the Text tab to import text or lyrics
  • Add audio and MIDI files or supported media links through the Music panel
  • Use File Manager to browse sources side by side and drag supported files into TextWhisper lists or items
  • Select files with upload controls when dragging is inconvenient, especially on phones and tablets
  • The destination and file type determine whether material becomes a new item, an attachment, or an update to existing content
  • For scores, import supported PDF links or use IMSLP search with the item's subject as a starting point

🧠 Text & Lyric Practice

🎶 Music Playback Controls

  • Name MIDI channels and watch their activity while practising

🎼 MusicXML Scores

  • View MusicXML scores alongside PDFs in the score tab

  • Control individual parts with mute and volume settings

  • Select a note or measure to start playback from that position
  • See the notes being played on the on-screen piano

🎹 On-screen Piano
